The case doesn't need to be opened for this, so a new female split stem can be fitted to the crown, and it can simply be snapped back together. Cosmic 2000 is not opened by air pump of compressed air. The two bit stem off, inner bit back in and outer case off. Then it is pressed with glass/case press (you need Cosmic 2000 die) from the case back and whole thing comes off from the glass side.
